In the second round, the Spaniard easily defeated Germany's Daniel Altmaier in straight sets.
In the first set, the world's 84th-ranked player posed some challenges for Alcaraz but ultimately lost 3-6. However, Alcaraz dominated the second set, winning 6-1.
In the round of 16, Alcaraz will face young Frenchman Arthur Fels, ranked 15th in the world.
