Formula 1 team Haas has appointed Laura Müller as its first female race engineer.
The German, who will work with Frenchman Esteban Ocon during the 2025 season, will have a crucial role in working closely with the drivers and will be the voice on the team radio.
Müller has previously worked in endurance racing and with Haas as a simulation and performance engineer.
“Müller’s work ethic, determination and very good technical understanding made us think she was a good fit for Esteban,” said team principal Ayao Komatsu.
A woman is also set to take over as Haas’s chief strategy officer this year, after Karin Kredelich was recruited from Racing Bulls.
